CONGRATULATIONS: To Canon Robert Reagan and Canon John Maguire who have been appointed “Chaplains to His Holiness” with the title of Monsignor by the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: The children from St. Peter’s School will be making their First Holy Communion this Sunday and next Sunday at 2.30 pm. Please remember to keep them in your prayers.
SCOUTING: On Mondays 6.30 pm - 8.00 pm at St Anne’s Scout Hall, Cottrell Road, Roath, the 22nd Cardiff Cub Scouts (8-10 1/2 boys & girls) meet and take part in a wide ranging programme of activities. New members are always welcome. Any parents who would like further details contact Louisa Coath on 029 240 5131.
THE FEAST DAY OF THE VISITATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY: The annual Pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Penrhys will take place on Saturday, 31st May. This year we will be praying for all lapsed Catholics to return to the Faith. For further information phone 01495 315460 also see the poster in the porch.
CHURCHES TOGETHER ANNUAL ECUMENICAL WHITSUNTIDE SERVICE: Thursday 15th May at 7.00 pm in St. German’s Church, Roath, followed by BBQ/Buffet. All welcome.
“PRAYER & ACTIVISM - in opposition or complementary?” A talk by Stewart Helmsley, chairperson of Pax Christi UK, the Catholic Peace organization, in St. Joseph’s Hall, Fairfield Road, Penarth, on Thursday, 15th May at 7.30 pm. See poster in porch.

JUSTICE AND PEACE: Richard Laydon of Cafod Wales will be giving a talk on his visit to Nigeria at the University Chaplaincy in Park Place on 15th May at 7.30 pm. All Welcome. Light refreshments.

KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBA GOLF TOURNAMENT: Will be held at Radyr Golf Club this year on Monday 16th June. Please see the notice board for full details.
200 CLUB: For those who have not yet renewed their membership, subscriptions will be collected again after all Masses next weekend 17/18 May. Please put your £12.00 cash or cheque (payable to St Peter’s) in an envelope marked ‘200 Club’ with your name, address and tel no. GOING PUBLIC THEATRE CO: Will be performing, ‘the Tiger, The Snitch and the Chest of Drawers’, a quirky take on the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, at the Gate, Keppoch Street on Friday 16th May at 7.30 pm. Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions) and are available from the box office on 029 2048 3344. This would be particularly suitable for families and children. LATIN MASS SOCIETY: Pontifical High Mass will be celebrated by the Right Reverend Paul Stonham OSB at St. David’s Cathedral on Sunday, May 18th at 11.00 am. First Feast of Blessed Antonio Rosmini: Westminster Cathedral 1st July 2008 at 2.30 pm Chief Celebrant The Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muñoz. Bus leaves St Peter’s at 8.00 am. Back in Cardiff by approximately 8.00 pm. Cost £15. Please sign the clipboard at the back of the church if you would like to book a seat on the bus (payment later). ************************************************************ Blank Invitation Cards and envelopes are available this weekend at the back of the church. If you know of anyone who might like to join us for the Celebration Mass at Westminster, please take a card, add their name/s and send on to them. ************************************************************ Brother Frank, from St Alban’s has organised an overnight stay in London. Leaving by coach on Monday 30th June, staying at The Clarendon Hotel, Blackheath Village, near Greenwich, returning after the Celebration Mass. Cost £79 per person for Bed Breakfast and coach travel.
