Altar Linen Laundry.

To provide a regular supply of clean altar linen, twice weekly.

Association for the Propagation of the Faith (APF).

The promoters and helpers organise the emptying of the red mission boxes, usually in March and September.

If you would like a box to collect spare cash for the Mill Hill Fathers to help their missionary work please contact the Presbytery.

Church Cleaners.

At present four teams of people clean the church on a regular basis (each team operates one week in four).

Meet: Monday mornings or evening rotas in the Church.

New members always needed. If you would like to join a team please contact the Presbytery.

Cardiff Justice and Peace Group.

Active member of Wales 2000 coalition; Helped to organise the Church Action on Poverty Pilgrimages; Involvement with Cardiff One World Week; sends a representative to the meetings of the Justice and peace Network, the Catholic Refugee Forum, the Social Justice Commission, the Welsh Refugee Council. Organises the sending of cards to “Prisoners of Conscience” (Annual Christmas Card Campaign) and provides opportunities for reflection and spiritual renewal for Justice and Peace members

Meet: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month at 7.30 pm in the University Chaplaincy.

Churches Together in Roath Park.

Two lay members plus one member of the clergy from all the churches in the Roath area, meet four times a year to arrange joint events of worship together i.e. Pentecost Praise; Carol Singing; Church Services for Christian Unity etc. Publish “Network” magazine, which gives details of services and events in the different churches. The representatives publish these events in their own churches, and try to encourage their fellow church members to attend.

Meet: Quarterly at Roath Park URC Church.

Churches Together in Splott.

A very active group. Christians of all denominations working together in many ways.

Gift Aid Scheme.

Promotes and organises the Gift AidScheme, which is a way for tax payers to donate to the Parish and for the Parish to re-claim the tax.

The scheme provides complete confidentiality to those contributing to the Parish in this way.

If you are a member of St Peter’s Parish and a taxpayer please give serious consideration to joining this scheme.

Finance Committee.

Looks after the financial interests of the Parish. This includes counting Collections, Accounting, Book Keeping and Banking.

Annual Accounts presented to the Parish and Diocese.

Flower Arrangers.

Organise Altar flowers for Christmas, Easter, Weddings & Special Occasions.

Newsletter Team.

Produce the weekly parish Newsletter. Always pleased to receive help from computer literate parishioners.

If interested in joining the rota (approx one week in five, please contact the Presbytery).

Meet: Wednesday evenings.

Repository (Shop)

Look after the shop at the back of the church.

Open before and after all weekend Masses and 10.30am – 12.30pm Monday to Thursday staffed by a rota of volunteers.

Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child (SPUC).

Defend rights of unborn children and their mothers.

Attempts to change and remove the 1967 Abortion Act. Campaigns against Euthanasia.

Not a Catholic organisation nor affiliated to any political party.

Cardiff Good Counsel.

A pro-life organisation, offering friendship, counselling, practical help etc. to women.

St. Peter’s Brownies & Rainbows.

The following activities are offered: games, crafts, cooking, out of doors, keeping healthy, thinking about other people, keeping the Promise.

All with a Catholic ethos.

Meet: Weekly except School holidays in Youth Hall

Brownies: Monday 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm.

Rainbows: Monday 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm
